Your Accounts¶
Add your financial accounts so FinPlan can model growth, taxes, and withdrawals correctly.
Command
Run /finplan:accounts to view, add, or update accounts at any time. See the command reference for details.
Account types¶

What you need per account¶
- Account type β from the table above
- Current balance β your balance as of today
- Owner β individual, joint, or beneficiary
- Asset allocation β your mix of stocks, bonds, cash, crypto, real estate, and other as percentages that sum to 100. Optional for cash-only accounts (savings, checking, money market, CD, I Bonds, FSA, and the loan types), which default to 100% cash, and for real-estate accounts, which default to 100% real estate. Required for every other type.
Tip
Start with the accounts that matter most β your largest retirement account and primary savings. You can always add more later.
Employer match¶
